Taylour Gillett and her "Updated YELP!"

On December 6, 2024, I received a cease-and-desist letter from Taylour Gillett’s attorney, Daniel Webber, claiming she had done everything possible to update her Yelp citation. But let’s call it like it is—Taylour is playing the victim while she’s the one causing the issue. All she did was change the zip code, leaving my business address intact, which confuses search engines and messes with my local SEO

Instead of taking responsibility for her negligence, she’s trying to make it seem like she’s being wronged. The truth? Taylour is the culprit here. She didn’t fix her mistake, and now it’s affecting my business. For a licensed mental health counselor, this lack of accountability is concerning. If she can’t manage something as simple as updating her address, how does she handle the bigger responsibilities that come with her profession?

Since all this mess with Taylour Gillett and the other mental health professionals using my business address has destroyed me mentally and financially, I’ve had to get super resourceful with what little I have left. The whole situation really messed up my local SEO and created a lot of headaches.

In a spirit of advocating for myself, I decided to restart my membership with LegalShield. I used the benefits of my monthly plan to send a cease and desist letter to Taylour Gillett. Yes, this has been terrifying and frustrating, but it’s also forced me to think outside the box and make it work with limited resources. Hopefully, sharing this will help someone else who might find themselves in a similar situation.

I am located in Michigan and I don't like that Legal Shield only has one law office here. So it's not much of a selection. Even with the limited choices I did switch attorneys, because I didn't feel that one originally assigned to my case did not have the attention to detail that I felt was needed. I switched to a different attorney. I will be the first to admit that this entire situation has take an tole on my mental health. I am hypervigilant af right now and my PTSD is standing guard . So her seemingly "honest mistakes" sent me into a tailspin and I just didn't trust her.

Not gonna lie, my decision change attorneys ruffled some feathers, and we made it through. I am in this place in my 48 years of life where my mental health matters. I am going to stand on business to make sure I am being advocated for. Even if I have to be the one doing it.

Did y'all peep where I am being threatened me with a temporary restraining order? Make it make sense! This mental health professional is using my business address and threatening me? This level of muckery only transpires in a world where people are not held accountable for their actions.

I was wide awake because my hyperviligant mind was scanning the internet at 2:56 am on 10-14-2024. I needed to figure out who this person was using my business address. This was hours before I calmed my nerves enough to contact Taylour Gillette. I didn't know if I would have a knock down drag out fight my hands, or would she be receptive and accurately update her listings?

I called, she didn't answer. I left a voicemail asking her to update her online citations so that we could each rank. She called me back some time later and said that she was unaware and had changed all of the citations. After hearing her tell a bare faced lie I started having an anxiety attack. I can always sense when they are about to happen. I feel the sensation of a cool breeze at the base of my skull. I had to dig deep in my toolbox to help me regain my composure. I wanted to call Taylour Gillett every raggedy-assbitch in the book, but I know that the "angry black woman"troupe is not received well even when it is completely justified.

I am no therapist but having that less than 8 minute conversation with Taylour Gillett was equivalent to me being wrongly cast in Girl Interrupted. It was nothing short of completely insane. Once I figure out how to upload the phone calls on this website you can hear the conversation for yourself. I hated that I dumb myself down to carry on conversation with her. As someone that frequently seeks help from therapist. I vowed to never communicate with her under any circumstance. I have kept that promise to myself.

The screenshot below is Taylour Gillett doing everything in her power to accurately update her YELP! business page. 48038 and 48035 are two zip codes located in the same township. This is the same YELP!

  • Taylour's LTM Counseling and Wellness Yelp page was claimed before we spoke.

  • Taylour only changed the zip code from 48038 to 48035

  • Taylour Gillette continues to use my business address on multiple listings.

Accountability matters for mental health counselors because clients need accurate info to trust them, feel safe, and get the help they deserve without any extra hassle.
